Park Rules

Quarry Lakes in Fremont, CA comes under the jurisdiction of East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) Authorities. The Bay Area Chhath Team met with Park Authorities to get the hours extended for the celebration. All attendees must adhere to the following stipulations of EBRPD Authorities:

• On the day of Evening Arghya, October 27th, Quarry Lake gates will remain open till 7:00 PM. On the day of Morning Arghya, October 28th, the gates will open at 5:00 AM
• Parking fees is $5.00 for each entry. Please arrange parking permit by contacting event organizers or in case of contingency, pay by credit card.
• Participants must park in designated parking spaces. At no time can cars block access roads, red zones, etc.
• Fireworks, fire crackers, and sparklers are not allowed
• Amplified sound needs to be approved by the park supervisor. Volume of the sound must be very low and must be turned off, if park staff deem it to be too loud.
• Any lighting brought to the park should be Battery powered.
